Izaiah John Drinkwater, 16, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away following a week-long fight from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Visitation: 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2018, at Bohnenkamp – Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester. Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manchester, with an additional visitation from 9:00 -10:30 a.m. at the church.
Izaiah was born October 28, 2001, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Veronica Ramirez and Ezekiel Drinkwater. He was a student at West Delaware High School. Izaiah loved fishing, hanging out with friends, and listening to music. He enjoyed playing sports, especially bowling, soccer, and basketball. Izaiah’s loving and generous spirit continues as his organ and tissue donation was shared with many through the Iowa Donor Network. #IZAIAHSTRONG
Izaiah is survived by his parents, Veronica (Ricardo) Ramirez and Ezekiel Drinkwater; siblings, Gabriel, Mia and Leila; maternal grandparents, Peggy (Gene) Mozingo and Fransisco (Jeanette) Ramirez; paternal grandparents, Brenda Ropson and Robert Drinkwater; maternal aunts and uncles, Sonja Ramirez (Kurt Fox), Juan Ramirez, Hope Mozingo, Chloe (Trevor) Bailey; paternal aunts and uncles, Jennifer (Tyler) Johnson, Julie Drinkwater, and Elizabeth (Joe) Mullen; and many cousins and extended family.
Izaiah was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, George Liberman, and Emigdio Ramirez; paternal great-grandparents, Harold and Verdelle Hoth, Ellen and Jerry Johnson, and David and Mida Drinkwater.
