Iva Mae Reid

Iva Mae Reid, 81, of 2501 Highway 13, Marion, died Sunday, December 11, 2005, in her home following a long illness. Per Iva?s request, there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements are by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include two sons, Gary (Deb) Reid of Marion and Jeff (Julie) Reid of Callifornia; three grandchildren, Stephen, Nicholas and Christopher; and her siblings, Wilma Sutton of Baxter, Iowa, Roy Halter of Dumont, Iowa, Mary Clark of Melbourne, Iowa, Max (Mary Ann) Halter of Des Moines, Larry (Sheila) Halter of Alaska and Bill (Pat) Halter of Ackley, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; a sister, Dorothy; and a brother, Kenneth.
Iva was born the daughter of Lester and Alice Schonewise Halter on December 13, 1923, in Rhodes, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Donald Reid on January 21, 1948, in Toledo, Iowa. Donald died in 1986. Iva worked for Nash Finch for eleven years, retiring in 1986.
