Irma Josephine Theresa Schwendinger, 96, a former long-time resident of Earlville, Iowa, departed this life December 16, 2020, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester, Iowa. Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Earlville, Iowa is assisting the family.
She was born in Farley, Iowa, on March 29, 1924, the youngest of six children of William Eligius and Mary Elmeda (Kofmehl) Schwendinger. Irma was a member of St. Joseph parish in Earlville. Her strong Catholic faith was the center of her life.
Irma is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Francis, and Raymond and Gerald and their spouses; and sisters: Irene and Doris and their spouses.
A Mass of Christian Burial, with Rev. Dennis J. Quint officiating, will be held at St. Joseph Church in Earlville on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, at 11 a.m. with interment immediately following in St. Joseph Cemetery in Earlville. Covid 19 restrictions, with use of masks and distancing, are required.
