Irma D. McGuire, 90, formerly of Earlville, died April 10, 2011 at the Edgewood Convalescent Home, Edgewood, Iowa.
Graveside services: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 14, Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Irma was born July 3, 1920 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Rollin and Elsie (Clute) Davey. Following graduation from Earlville High School in 1937, she attended Iowa State College for one year. She worked as a secretary at the Newman Department Store in Cedar Rapids prior to moving to California where she lived for many years. She returned to Earlville in 2000.
Irma is survived by one son, David (Paula) McGuire of Blythe, CA.
Irma was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Carol and Doris McGuire.
