Irma Lucille Updegraff, 94, a longtime Marion resident, died Monday, January 6, 2014, at Keystone Cedars Assisted Living, Cedar Rapids. Services: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church, Marion.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Ray) Drew of Minneapolis; two grandchildren, Brian Drew and David Drew; and five great-grandchildren, Henry, Caroline, Elizabeth, Boden and Saige.
Irma was born October 10, 1919, in Morley, Iowa, daughter of Hans and Lena (Schrader) Petersen. She married Edwin E. Updegraff on April 27, 1941 in Sigourney, Iowa. She worked for Rockwell Collins for 24 years. Irma was an excellent seamstress and also enjoyed quilting, embroidery and reading. She was a past deacon at First Presbyterian Church, Marion and was a member of Sarah Circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin, her parents and two brothers and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Unity Point Hospice or the First Presbyterian Church, Marion.
