Irma Mae Drahos, 91, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Manorcare, Cedar Rapids. A Funeral Service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 520 Wilson Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial at Campbell Cemetery in Bertram, Iowa followed by a Celebration of Life at the Moose Lodge, 1820 West Post Road SW, Cedar Rapids.

Irma was born November 7, 1926, in Ely, Iowa, to Rudolph and Libby (Suchomel) Lnenicka. She married Stanley John Drahos, her childhood sweetheart, on April 6, 1948, in Cedar Rapids. She retired from Collins Radio in 1983 after working there more than 30 years. She was a lifelong member of St. Wenceslaus Church and a member of the Moose Lodge.

Irma loved to cook for her family, enjoyed trout fishing, and going to an annual Cubs game at Wrigley Field. She also enjoyed dancing, camping, and the company of many friends and family.

Irma is survived by her son, Don (Ann) Drahos of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Damon (Elizabeth) Drahos of Palatine, Illinois and Megan (Jonathan) Hoffman of Avon, Connecticut; great-granddaughters, Brooklyn and Emery Drahos of Palatine, Illinois, and Genevieve Hoffman of Avon Connecticut, and great-grandson Nathaniel Hoffman of Avon, Connecticut. She is also survived by her brother, Albert Lnenicka; and sister, Joanne Dinken.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Libby Lnenicka; and husband, Stanley Drahos; and sisters, Alice Bell and Helen McElhinney.
