Imogene Louise Johnson

Imogene Louise Johnson, 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at West Ridge Care Center in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Imogene was born December 13, 1939, in Olin, Iowa, the daughter of Waldo and Della (LaSeare) Hart. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1957. On December 15, 1957, Imogene was united in marriage to Harlan Johnson, Sr. in Aiken, South Carolina. She loved crocheting, needlepoint, and painting. Imogene was a devoted volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital and enjoyed her time as Lovey Bear. She retired from Vigortone after 20 years of service. Imogene will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Harlan Johnson, Sr.; son, Harlan Jr. (Tammy) Johnson of Marion, Iowa; grandchildren, Joshua (Joslin) Johnson, and Holli Johnson; great-grandchildren, Kannon Johnson, Karmen Martinez, and Kaisson Martinez; and siblings, Walter Krause, Betty Lou Coquillette, Joanne Wilken, Irvin Hart, and Harry Hart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Waldo and Della Hart, and son, Lloyd Johnson.
