Immogene M. McCallum, 76, of 1837 8th Avenue S.W., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2009, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, in Cedar Rapids, by Father Mark Reasoner. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2009, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Inurnment: Linwood Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Christopher; children, Denise (Franklin) Glubka of Cedar Rapids and Christopher (Joelle) McCallum of Yankton, South Dakota; grandchildren, Mandi (Jason) Holden of Byron, Minnesota and Tracy (David) Fangman of Cedar Rapids; great grandchildren, Maeva and Makayla; and sister, Sharon (Frances) Fischer of Earlville.
Immogene was preceded in death by her parents.
Born November 6, 1932, in Dyersville, Iowa, Immogene was the daughter of Louis and Francis (Bergfeld) Hildebrand. On October 27, 1956, Immogene was united in marriage to Christopher McCallum.
For 35 years, Immogene worked for Square D and was a chief union steward for Teamsters Local 238 from 1967 to 1992.
