Ila M. Dunham-Miller, 84, of Manchester, died Saturday evening, July 16, 2005 at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester, following a stroke.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20 at the Manchester United Methodist Church by Pastor Jill Mack. Friends may call from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manchester and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Masonville.

Ila was born on June 12, 1921 in Lamont, the daughter of Newell D. and Myrtle A. (Allman) Stover. She graduated in 1939 from Brandon High School in Brandon, Iowa. She worked as the assistant manager at the Anderson Five & Dime in Independence. On February 12, 1956, Ila was united in marriage to Loren L. Dunham at the Methodist Church in Masonville. Loren passed away on September 6, 1989. On June 12, 1993, Ila and Bernard "Bun? M. Miller were married in Manchester, Iowa. Bun passed away on April 25, 2005.

Ila was a member of the Manchester United Methodist Church, Prairie Center Grange and the RMC Hospital Auxiliary. She was instrumental in establishing the Prairie Garden Club. Ila liked sewing, craft making, playing in card clubs and collecting teapots and dolls.

Ila is survived by her son, Terry L. (Linda) Dunham of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, David Dunham, Michael Dunham, Steve Dunham, Wayne (Amy) Dunham, Nicole (Scott) Litterer; six great-grandchildren; special niece, Marilyn Covert of Independence, Iowa; three step-children, Steve (Linda) Miller and Rick (Marilyn) Miller, both of Manchester and Kris (Charlie) Watkins of Cedar Rapids; fifteen step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Newell & Myrtle Stover; her husbands, Loren Dunham and Bernard "Bun? Miller; two sisters, Maxine Jordison and Fern Covert; and two brothers, Delose and Jim Stover.
