Huberta J. Olive, 86, of Manchester, Iowa, died Friday, April 20, 2018. Visitation: 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2018, at Bohnenkamp – Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at United Methodist Church, Manchester, with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Masonville.
Huberta was born June 17, 1931, the daughter of Lucy Shinn in Wisconsin. On January 2, 1960, Huberta married William E. Olive, Sr. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Madison, Wisconsin. Huberta spent time babysitting grandchildren, sewing, crafts, playing solitaire, and reading daily Bible devotionals. Huberta was generous, donating to any charity and her door was open to everyone. She loved visiting with friends and spending time with family.
Huberta is survived by her children, William (Kristin) Olive of Waterloo, Marie (Rick) Bishop of Raymond, Ruth Chapman of Manchester, Gail (Bruce) Helle of Manchester, and Robert (Barb) Olive of Cedar Rapids; special family Bruce (Shaila) Boutell; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Shinn.
Huberta was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy Shinn; and her husband, William Olive.
