Howard Wyldes, Sr., 88, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, July 11, 2022, at The University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. Burial will take place at a later date in Seymour, Iowa.
Howard was born on October 11, 1933, in Numa, Iowa, the son of Howard and Rosa (Barber) Wyldes. He graduated from Seymour High School and worked as a machinist until his retirement. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Survivors include his children, Donnie, Wyldes, Kenneth Wyldes, Karen (Steve) Irwin, Howard Wyldes, Jr., and Valorie Pearson; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Howard was preceded in death by his father, Howard; mother, Rosa; stepfather, Roy; brother, Don and grandson, Christopher.
