Homer (Bill) William Frey, 70, of 1313 M Street SW, Cedar Rapids, passed away at Mercy Medical Center on November 18, 2003. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. There will be no visitation. A family and friend?s rememberance gathering will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2003, from 1-4 p.m., at 2031 River Oaks Ct, North Liberty, Iowa.
Survivors include a daughter, Theresa Butler and husband Ken of Cedar Rapids; a son, Gerald Frey and wife Sheila of North Liberty; 9 grandchildren, Mathew, Dustin, Heather, Tammy, Mark, Kevin Garret, Faith, and Angie; and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Frey; his mother, Gladys Jacob; his step-father, Glenn Jacob and a son, Michael Frey.
Homer was born July 10, 1933, in Sterling, Illinois. He worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railway until his retirement.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
