Herman S. Beebe

Herman S. Beebe, 92, of Vero Beach, Florida, formerly of Center Point, Iowa, died Friday, November 15, 2002, in St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, of congestive heart failure. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2002, at Murdoch Funeral Home in Center Point, Iowa, by the Rev. David Siler. There will be no visitation, but friends may call at Murdoch Funeral Home one hour prior to service time on Tuesday.
Friends may also call on Saturday, November 23, 2002, at the Tillman Funeral Home, West Palm Beach Florida, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Lake Worth, Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Gretchen; two daughters, Jane (J.B.) Irwin of Center Point and Rayma Kreider of Vero Beach, Florida; a son, Max and wife Diana of Ft. Collins, Colorado; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Russell and David; and a grandson, Joseph Irwin.
Herman was born December 27, 1909, at Urbana, Iowa, to George and Leola King Beebe. On July 28, 1935, he married Gretchen Gilchrist at Walker, Iowa. Herman loved to play cards, pitch horseshoes and travel.
Herman requested no flowers or memorials.
