Henry Richard Cue, 71, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018, at Northbrook Manor Care Center in Cedar Rapids. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at Faith Lutheran Church in Marion. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2018, at the church conducted by Pastor John Albertson. Burial will take place at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion is caring for Henry’s family and his services.
Henry was born November 20, 1946, in Randalia, Iowa, the son of John and Ella (Otto) Cue. After graduating from high school, Henry served in the United States Army in Korea during the Vietnam War. On April 4, 1969, in Fayette, Iowa, he was united in marriage to Linda Hulbert. Henry was employed at Wilson’s Packing House for 25 years, and then retired from Heinz Food Company, formerly known as Quality Chef, in 2012. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, camping, watching birds and wildlife. Henry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived and lovingly remembered by his son, Greg (Michelle) Cue of Cedar Rapids; daughters, Laura (Kevin) Stucker and Tina (Tim) Shannon, both of Marion; six grandchildren, Lane (Maiana) Cue, Jordan Cue, Jackson Cue, Mackenzie Stucker, Brittany Stucker, and Samantha Shannon; five great-grandchildren, Bryleigh, Greyson and Brielle Cue, Eva Cue and Izayah Stucker; sisters, Jean Nading of Fayette and Wendy (Don) Rhode of Marion; and brothers, Ronald (Judy) Cue of Oelwein and Arnold Cue of Fayette.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 45 years, Linda Cue; half-brother, Johnny Otto; and brother-in-law, Ronald Nading.
Memorials in Henry’s memory may be directed to the family to be designated later.
