Helen T. Sebers, 77, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, June 22, 2008, in Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, following a long illness. Services: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by Father Mark Reasoner. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m., prior to the service, Tuesday, at the church. Burial: St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Pam Parmer of Houston, Texas, Tammy (Rollie) Rowe of Coralville, Larry Sebers of Cedar Rapids and Greg (Lori) Sebers of Clarence; grandchildren, Joshua Parmer, Matthew Parmer, Tanna Rowe, Tiffany Rowe, Wyatt Sebers and Benjamin Sebers; step grandchildren, Amiee Geary and Alicia Geary; one great grandchild, Nikayla Sebers; two sisters, Dorothy Moore of Ft. Madison and Agnes Emard of Billings, Montana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; infant daughter, Karla; brother, William Kramer; and sister, Mildred Musson.
Helen was born July 22, 1930, in Ft. Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Krieger) Kramer. On August 16, 1953, she married Bill Sebers in Ft. Madison. He died in 1980. Bill and Helen owned H & B Accountants.
Helen was a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society. Her joys were gardening, bingo and spending time with her many close friends.
