Helen E. Bryant, 97, of 1010 Bridget Ct. SE, died Tuesday, July 06, 2004, at Winslow House Care Center, following a brief illness. Services: 12 noon Sunday, July 11, 2004, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center by Rev. Traverse Harrison. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside Committal: 3 p.m. Sunday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marshalltown.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne D. and wife Jeannette of Marion and Dale S. and wife Betty of Aurora, Colorado; eight grandchildren, Lynn Bryant, Cheryl Bryant and husband Steven Whittlesey, Brenda Hipp and husband Fred, Kim Plath and husband Kirk, Peggy Rabe and husband Jeff, Patrick Bryant and wife Sharon, Ronda Kesler and husband Tom and Renee Bryant; and eleven great-grandchildren, Adam and Kaitlyn Hipp, Jared and Hannah Plath, Andrew, Adam and Alissa Rabe and Benjamin, Abigail, Samuel and Josiah Kesler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Henry Schwarz; her second husband, Dale Bryant; an infant son, William Gene "Billy? Bryant; and a sister, Marion Stokes.
Helen was born July 6, 1907, the daughter of John Henry and Anna Helen (Wilson) Glosser, in Sheldon, Iowa. On June 3, 1937, she married William Dale Bryant in Omaha, Nebraska. He died September 19, 1970, in Marshalltown. She was a former member of LaMoille Community Church and a member of Marion Christian Church.
