Helen Maxine Briggs (Mccreery)

Helen M. Briggs, 77, of Manor Care Health Services, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died there Wednesday, December 20, 2006, following a brief illness. Per her wishes there will be no services and she was cremated. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna (Charles) Zahorik of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Koberly O?Brien, Angela Crumes, Dawn Hobart and Dustin Crumes; eight grandchildren, Nadine Hobart, Jack DeForest, Leigh, Madison and Cole O?Brien, Paige and Denver Parvin and Taylor Crumes; and two sisters, Margaret Edwards of Knoxville, Iowa and Mildred Martin of Oskaloosa, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Bunny Jean; and a sister, Opal Martin.
Helen was born December 8, 1929, in Benton Township of Keokuk County, Iowa, the daughter of Lloyd and Nadine (Alderman) McCreery.
Helen was loved and cared for by her family and will be greatly missed.
