Helen Mae Annis, 81, of Central City, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at her home. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family committal service will be held at Mt. Clark Cemetery in Central City.
Helen was born on April 9, 1940, in Olin, Iowa, the daughter of Clark and Lulu Capron. She graduated from Central City High School. On July 26, 1958, Helen was united in marriage to Loren Annis in Central City. She worked as an instructor for Rockwell Collins since she was 18 years old until retiring in 1995. Helen enjoyed her dog Sophie, her grandchildren and spending time with her friend Richard Parmenter.
Helen is survived and lovingly remembered by her two children, Chris (Kevin) Anderson of Kansas City, Missouri, and Lorna Bunce of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Geraldine Sweet of Mt. Vernon, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Lulu Capron; husband, Loren Annis; and son, Kevin Annis.
