Hazel M. Wright

Hazel M. Wright, 91, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center, died Saturday, July 5, 2003, at the care center, following a long illness. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at St. Paul?s Lutheran Church in Marion by Rev. Thomas Hedke and Vicar Jason Shaw. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Doris Connell, Bill Wright and wife Pat and Tom Wright and wife Sue, all of Marion; six grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Jim Wright; two sisters, Esther and Margaret; a brother, William "Bub?; and a great-granddaughter, Kelli Slater.
Hazel was born August 8, 1911, the daughter of William and Anna (Schacht) Hall in Lime Springs, Iowa. She graduated from Lime Springs High School and then, on June 14, 1931, she married Wesley W. Wright. He died March 21, 1987. Hazel was a member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church in Marion.
A memorial fund has been established in Hazel?s memory.
