Harry Joseph Hawthorn, 80, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Friday, September 20, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services will be held at a later date.
Harry was born December 14, 1938, in Fairfax, Iowa, the son of Harry Eugene and Hilda L. (Deal) Hawthorn. On September 11, 2003, he was united in marriage to Judy Ann Johnson. He was a concrete truck driver for many years before retiring.
Harry is survived by his children, Yvonne Hawthorn, Joseph (Karen) Hawthorn, Douglas Hawthorn, Debborah (Rick) Elliott, and Jeffrey A. Hawthorn; step-children, Michael (Lori) Hotz and Karla Armstrong; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Bonita (Larry) Maloney, David (Diane) Hawthorn, and Rebecca Wittke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Hilda Hawthorn; wife, Judy Hawthorn; daughter, Laura; and son, Daniel.
