Harriett G. Winn, 91, of Rochester, Minnesota, formerly of Marion, died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at Maple Manor Care Center in Roshester. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion by Father José Comparán. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, at the funeral home where a vigil service will begin at 5 p.m. and a rosary to follow. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Helen and Jim Stobaugh, Bill and Katie Winn and Patricia Murphy; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Fred, Lester, Virgil, Earl and Edward; an infant sister, Henrietta Winn; and a sister, Irma Stobaugh.
Harriett was born July 4, 1914, the daughter of Edward and Louisa (Kapler) Winn in Calmar.
Harriett went to live with her great-niece in Rochester after her sister passed away. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, loved animals, and going to the Salvation Army adult day care program.
A memorial fund has been established in Harriett?s memory.
