Harold Lee Nost, 90, of Toddville, died Friday, January 17, 2003, at Winslow House Care Center in Marion. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2003, at Buffalo United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids by Rev. Marilyn Buchanan. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Shiloh Cemetery, Hiawatha, Iowa. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.

Survivors include his children, Patty Lee Fish and husband Bob of Cedar Rapids, Donna Svoboda-McPherson and husband Mac of Lincoln, Nebraska, John Nost and Carmen of Toddville, William Nost and wife Connie of Cedar Rapids and Gladys Lee Ann Nost of Des Moines; fifteen grandchildren, Sheila Roberts of Toddville, Don Fish and Susan Sanchez, both of Cedar Rapids, Dawn Svoboda of Phoenix, Arizona, Clint Svoboda of Mullen, Nebraska, Holley Bolen of Lincoln, Nebraska, Tom, Jennifer and Todd Nost, Devonne Cooper and Tonya Nost, all of Cedar Rapids, Sheri Lyons of Long Island, New York, Sara Fisher of Los Gatos, California and Buzz and Michael Aswegan, both of Cedar Rapids; and fifteen great-grandchildren, Cindy, Jared, Andrew, Austin, Bailey, Nathan, Hanna, Jordan, Brianna, Dakota, Erin, Emily, Caroline, Ryan and Mason.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gladys Google Hutton Nost; his parents, Ernest Nost and Addie Hamilton; and his sister, Marcella Kuhn.

Lee was born October 21, 1912, in Morley, Iowa, the son of Ernest and Addie (Hamilton) Nost. He married Gladys Google Hutton on June 20, 1940, in Kahoka, Missouri. Lee and Gladys were the proprietors of Nost Cliff Lake Camp in Ontario, Canada, for twenty-seven years. He was a member of Buffalo United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids.

Lee loved gardening, birds and was an avid fisherman. He especially enjoyed the challenge of fishing for Muskie on Cliff Lake, where he knew they lay. Lee was also a Cedar Rapids Horseshoe Champion for five years.
