Harold was born April 29, 1915, in Toddville, Iowa, where he lived his whole life. He married Lillian Schultz on February 26, 1943 in Toddville. Harold was employed by the Rock Island Railroad for over 37 years until his retirement in 1973. He loved his wife, family and puttering and fixing things. He also did his part in helping make our area clean as the can man picking up litter and returnable cans along our local highways. What is in the heart defines the measure of a man. He loved his family, but did not vocalize it much. His family is proud of the life he lived and the man he was.

A memorial fund has been established in Harold?s name.
