Guy Oliver Knutson

Guy O. Knutson, 97, of Delhi, died at his home Saturday morning, January 15, 2005 after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 19 at the Delhi United Methodist Church by Rev. Julie A. May. Friends may call from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Earlville and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Delhi.
Guy was born the son of Julius and Ida (Richie) Knutson on March 16, 1907 in Starbuck, MN. He attended school in Starbuck. On January 11, 1942 Guy was united in marriage to Beulah Jackson in Delhi. Guy worked for the Alaskan Highway, Paulson Construction in Cedar Rapids and was a custodian for Maquoketa Valley Schools in Delhi.
Guy was a member of the Delhi United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing.
Guy is survived by two sons, Kit Knutson and Roger (Linda) Knutson, both of Delhi; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Guy was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Ida Knutson; his wife, Beulah in 1998; two brothers, Julian and Elsworth Knutson; and one sister, Loretta Kiltz.
Memorials may be directed to Delaware Co. Hospice, Delhi United Methodist Church or St. Paul Lutheran Church in Delaware.
