Greg Erenberger, 59, of Walford, Iowa, passed away on August 5, 2016.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2016, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation: 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016, at the funeral home.
Greg was born on October 14, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of Kenneth and Rae Jean (Schorg) Erenberger. He graduated from Prairie High School in 1974 and from Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa in 1978. Greg was a four year wrestling letter winner at Upper Iowa University and has been an avid wrestling supporter since graduation. He was united in marriage to Debbie Burt in 1979. Greg was the founder and CEO of Edge Asset Management, Cedar Rapids, a fee-only financial investment firm. He was a respected member of the Prairie Foundation since 2001. Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and was an avid motorcycle rider. He is remembered by others as being dedicated to his family and friends, a hard worker, and a humble man.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie of Walford; daughters, Kylee Kozisek of Las Vegas, Nevada and Kelsey (Austin) Ressler of Ely, Iowa; siblings, Kerry (Douglas) Kimm of Norway, Iowa, Patti Erenberger of Marion, Iowa, and Steve Erenberger of Swisher, Iowa; six nieces and nephews; parents-in-law, Hank and Bev Burt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and sisters-in-law, Sherrie Burt (Nancy Kies) of Rockford, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
