Grant Edward Gerdes was born silently on Friday, December 14, 2007, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services were held Monday, December 17, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Rev. Perry Fruhling of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Burial: Linwood Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Justin and Nicole (Billmeyer) Gerdes; two brothers, Gavin and Griffin; his grandparents, Morrie and Anita Billmeyer of Marion and Phil and Connie Gerdes of Monticello; and his great-grandparents, Jim & Betty Billmeyer of Hopkinton, Woody and Sally Smith of Marion and Mildred Gerdes of Monticello.
