Grace I. (Heath) Lintz, 88, of 1248 19th Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a long illness: Services: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, by Sister Mary Klisart. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 29, 2008, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Jeff, Sr.) Hopkins-Maish of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Brandi Powell) Hopkins, Jenniffer Hopkins, Jessicca (Daniel Bramow, Jr.) Hopkins and Jillian Hopkins, all of Cedar Rapids; three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Lillian and Kaden; a sister-in-law, Sharla Heath of Cedar Rapids; daughter-in-law, Marina Lintz of Aurora, Colorado; her beloved dog, Angel; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a stepson, Kenneth Lintz; brother, Marvin “Bud” Heath; and her sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Richard Kahler.
Grace was born December 14, 1919, the daughter of John and Myrle (Hutson) Heath, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On March 9, 1948, she was united in marriage to Louis “John” Lintz in Cedar Rapids. He died July 7, 1981. For 32 years, Grace worked at Wilson’s Meat Packing Company. She enjoyed working in her yard, sewing, following basketball and loved spending time with her family. Grace was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
