Glenn A. Losey, 71, of Toddville, went to Heaven Friday, October 2, 2009, surrounded by family and friends. Celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at Alice United Methodist Church, Center Point, officiated by Rev. Leo Anderson and Rev. Burr Bryant. The family will greet friends from 4-7 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2009, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion. Burial: Alice Cemetery, rural Center Point.

Survivors include his wife, Barb; sons, Jeffrey and Jesse; grandsons, Adam and Jesse II; brother, Howard (Susie) Losey; sister-in-law, Linda Johnson (AJ Thoma). Also surviving are his niece, Danielle (Mike) Gearhart; nephew, Joshua (Jodi) Johnson and their daughter, Mattie; his nephew James (Amy) Johnson; mother-in-law, Erma Johnson; good friends and neighbors, Carl and Terri Meiners and their children; and many other family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and step-father, Jerry Choteborsky; and sister-in-law, Tana Losey.

Glenn was born January 20, 1938, in Elberon, IA, to Walter and Ruth (Wandling) Losey. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1956. Glenn married Barbara Johnson at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He worked at Rockwell Collins from 1957 until 1995.

Glenn was a member of Alice United Methodist Church and the Alburnett Lion’s Club, where he served in several offices. He served the Iowa Lion’s Club as Zone Chairman and Region Chairman. Glenn organized blood drives in Alburnett for many years.
