Glenn "Butch? William Gladwin, 56, of Ely, died Wednesday, December 4, 2002, in his home, following a short illness. Services: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2002, Salem United Methodist Church by Rev. Linda Bibb. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Friday, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his wife, Rose, his children, Tammy (Clayton) Chambers of Cedar Rapids, Tania Gladwin and Tegan Gladwin both at home, and one grandchild, Morgan Chambers.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Born August 5, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Glenn and Gladys (Broxey) Gladwin, he married Rose Wolf on May 20, 1967. For 30 years, he was a deputy for the Linn County Sherriff?s Department. He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation, Linn County Protective Association and Iowa Sherriff?s Association. He served as Vice President of Red Cedar Talkin? Toms.
