Glenn H. Chrystal, 91, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2014, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral & Cremation Service in Manchester, by Rev. Mary Green. Visitation will be held prior to services on Monday from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.
Glenn was born September 12, 1922, in Ryan, Iowa, the son of Frank and Aola (Burnside) Chrystal. On August 11, 1956, Glenn was united in marriage to Joyce Herren in Marion, Iowa. Glenn was a “steward of the soil” and farmed in the Manchester area until retirement. They were members of the Country Cousins Square Dance Club and the Wild Rose Ramblers Camping Club.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Joyce, of Manchester; a daughter, Darla Golden; one grandson, Luke Conrad; a brother, Alton Chrystal; and a son-in-law, Mahlon Conrad.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Marcia Conrad; a son, Scott Chrystal; and two brothers, Lewis and Gordon Chrystal.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
