Gerald Leroy Manson

Gerald L. Manson, 69, of Manchester, Iowa, died early Tuesday morning, July 6, 2004, at the Good Neighbor Home, Manchester, after a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 9 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester by Rev. Roger Henry. Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pine View Cemetery in Delaware.
Gerald was born April 9, 1935 the son of Will and Ulla S. (Anderson) Manson in Manchester. He attended Manchester High School. Gerald was united in marriage to Patsy L. Meader. She died in 1963. He later married Delores Glass. She died in 1995. Gerald worked for Henderson Manufacturing in Manchester until retiring in 1996.
Gerald was handy around the house. He liked country music and attending threshers and blue grass festivals. Gerald enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.
Gerald is survived by two sons, Allan Manson of Manchester and his children, Rachel, April, Shane & Krystal and David Manson of Fonda, IA and his children, Wesley and Ana; four step-children, Dale, Mike, Pete and Mary; four sisters, Norma Helmrich, Vanita Clendennen, & Joyce Hauschild all of Manchester and Margie Arbegust of Muscoda, WI; two brothers, Jim Manson and Bill Manson of Manchester; and many step-grand and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Patsy and Delores; a sister, Eileen Satterlee; and four brothers, Bud, Ronald, Hubert and Dean Manson.
