Gary R. Webster, 63, of Center Point, Iowa, died Thursday, December 14, 2006, at Veteran?s Affair Medical Center, Iowa City, of pneumonia. Memorial Services: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, where the family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Rev. Larry Daubs will officiate. Inurnment: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, with military honors.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry; his mother, Tillie Webster of Independence; his children, Jerry (Sue) Webster of Quasqueton, Sandy Wesley of Cedar Rapids and Danielle (Jeremie) Parr of Belle Plaine; 12 grandchildren, Brandon, Amber, Cody, Darren, Carly, Devon, Caleb, Braden, Lainey, Sandy, Amanda, and Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Makayla and Ayden; two sisters, Mary Luke and Liz (Ron) Miller; three brothers, Terry (Wendy) Webster, Don Webster and Tom Webster; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; a brother, Robert, Jr; and a brother-in-law, Jack Luke.

Gary was born October 3, 1943, the son of Robert and Tillie (Kubik) Webster, in Oakdale, Wisconsin. He served in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne. On October 9, 1963, Gary was united in marriage to Sherry Clayton in Clarksville, Tennesee. He worked with Tenyer Coatings for many years. Gary enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and bowling. He bowled a 300 game. He also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers.
Military honors will be conducted by Dye Benion Post 297.
