Gary A. Tichy

Gary A. Tichy, 57, of 83 Birch Drive, was found dead in his home July 21, 2006, following a short illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Del Bear. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include a brother, Kenneth Tichy and wife Pat of Cedar Rapids; two nephews, Scott Tichy and Curtis Tichy both of Cedar Rapids; and two great-nieces, Hannah Tichy and Kylie Tichy both of Cedar Rapids.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
Gary was born the son of Lumir and Thelma (Schoner) Tichy on March 24, 1949, in Cedar Rapids. He was employed at Steel Products, Inc. in Cedar Rapids. Gary enjoyed motorcycles, gardening and flowers.
