Gary R. Stephens, age 76, passed away December 10, 2020 at home. He is preceded in death by his parents Helen M. Stephens and B. R. Stephens. He is survived by his wife Barbara, son Jeffrey, daughter Kecia, and five grandchildren. His Crematory Urn will be laid to rest at a Graveside Service at 2 p.m. on Friday August 11, 2023, at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family. Swan-Law Funeral Directors in Colorado Springs, Colorado, assisted with the cremation. He was a lifelong Christian, a Senior Systems Analyst for IBM, longtime member of the ANSI T-10 and T-11 Standards Committees. Computer Science was a passionate interest from his youth. He was active in his Church. He enjoyed travel, Biblical studies, his family and his dogs. He will be remembered as a kind and generous husband, father, and friend, and will be greatly missed.
