Gary N. Rudd

Gary N. Rudd, 56, of 151 Commercial St., died Monday, August 1, 2005, at St. Luke?s Hospital, of aggressive prostate cancer. Services: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2005, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City by two family friends, R.G. Prucha and Randy Strauss. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Burial: Mt. Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia of Central City; two daughters, Staci (Scott) Whitson and Lori (Brian) Prucha, all of Central City; a step-daughter, Terri (Vance) Edwards of Marion; his parents, Archie and Louise Rudd of Central City; two sisters, Judy (Al) Heims of Marion and Sally (John) Loughren of Central City; a brother, Sam (Elizabeth) Rudd of Lake View; and six grandchildren, Matthew, Zachery, Abbigail, Jacklyn, Dalton and Kate.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Joey.
Gary was born July 22, 1949, the son of Archie and Louise (Johnson) Rudd in Central City. On October 12, 1975, he married Marcia Carl in Delhi. He owned and operated Rudd Sanitation for thirty years. Gary was a member of Otter Creek Sportsmen?s Club, North Linn Fish & Game Club, Amateur Trapshooting Association and Ducks Unlimited.
A memorial fund has been established in Gary?s memory.
