Gary Arthur Butts

Gary Arthur Butts, 79, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away peacefully in his home on January 19, 2016. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016,at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Cedar Rapids in the chapel. Lloyd Brockmeyer is officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Butts; stepdaughters, Deb (Jeff) Schebler and Susan (Steve) Webb.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and a twin brother, Larry.
Gary was born on June 23, 1936, in Marengo, Iowa, son of Gerald and Marguerite (Hartz) Butts. He married Mary (Goebel) Wright on July 17, 1986. Gary was employed at Rockwell Collins for 26 years in Printed Circuit Products until he retired. He loved sports, especially watching NASCAR and the Hawkeyes. Gary was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church since November 18, 1973.
