She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Nathan McCullough and Kaylen McCullough of Lexington, KY, and Claire Hochstetler and Lily Hochstetler of Zionsville, IN.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Kent Steven Vasbinder.

She was born April 6, 1916, in Liscomb, Iowa, to The Reverend Eliphas E. Lister and Othella Harl Lister. She was married June 29, 1935, to Dale Artis Cecil, who preceded her in death. She had two sisters, Irene Lister McGahey and Lenore Lister Peterson, both deceased, and one brother, Dr. Eugene E. Lister, also deceased.

Her father was a minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and from him she found a deep faith and was a dedicated, lifetime member of the church. She was also a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She worked for many years for the Anesthesiologists of Cedar Rapids, but her family was her focus and she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She will be remembered by her family and friends as a gentle soul who was quick with a smile and always willing to help others.

The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the staff and friends at Meth-Wick for the kind and loving care they have provided.
