Fred W. Schultz, 86, of Center Point, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Crestview Acres Care Center in Marion. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery.

Survivors include three nephews, Lyle Schultz of Bossier City, Louisiana, Merl Mollenhauer of Marion and Marvin Mollenhauer of Center Point; two nieces, Annabel Mollenhaur of Cedar Rapids and Linda Cook of Center Point; and a special friend, Ostia Shelton of Anamosa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Fern Mollenhauer and Maridee Shannon; two brothers, Lloyd Schultz and an infant brother, Herman; two nieces, Francy Haars and Myrna Krumm; and two nephews, Clyde Schultz and Stanley Schultz.

Fred was born February 15, 1928, the son of Edward and Elsie (Cromp) Schultz in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Center Point High School in 1946. Fred was a farmer. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Center Point Methodist Church.
