Frank L. Hunt, 89, of Earlville, died Friday, June 3, 2011 at Good Neighbor Home, Manchester. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Earlville United Parish Church by Pastor Jill Mack. Visitation: 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Earlville. Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Earlville.
Frank was born June 12, 1921 in Earlville, the son of LeRoy and Addie (Bisgrove) Hunt. Graduating from Earlville High School, he attended Iowa State University for one year. He returned to Earlville to farm with his parents. Frank was united in marriage to Marjie “Jean” Lehman on October 9, 1953 at the Earlville United Congregation Church. The couple farmed in the Earlville area for many years before moving into town.
Frank is survived by his wife, Marjie “Jean”; three children, Glenda (Eddie) Denny of Berlin, Maryland, Danny (Kathy) Hunt and Keith (Deborah) Hunt both of Earlville, eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Everett (Alice) Hunt of Earlville, and a sister, Mildred Ortberg of Aledo, Illinois.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Alvin; and a brother in-law, Theodore “Tink” Ortberg.
A memorial fund has been established in Frank’s memory.
