Francis “Frank” Graham, 90, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, February 18, 2010, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. Services: 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 22, 2010, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Del Bear. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Military honors will be provided.
Survivors include his wife, Opal; their children, Sandra Wills, Vicki (Gene) Callender, Al (Jan) Graham and Cathy (Steve) Boardman; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; ten brothers; one sister; and his son-in-law, Robert Wills.
Born August 5, 1919, in Douglas, Nebraska, Frank was the tenth of twelve children of Walter and Laura (Havener) Graham. Frank served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 566 Quarter Master Railhead Company. On September 17, 1947, he was united in marriage to Opal Maw. In 1983, Frank retired after 26 years as a State Farm Insurance agent.
A memorial fund has been established in Frank’s memory.
