Frances "Bobbie? Lucille Jackson, 93, of Manchester, formerly of Rockford IL, died Thursday evening, November 11, 2004 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2004 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester by Rev. Henry Huber and Chaplain Jill Mack. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery, Masonville.
Bobbie was born the daughter of James and Margaret (Paul) Penney on March 26, 1911 in Masonville. She attended school in Masonville. On January 26, 1946 Bobbie was united in marriage to Alex O. Jackson in Rockford, Illinois. Bobbie worked for Clarke?s Department Store in Rockford. The couple lived in the Rockford, IL before retiring and moving to Manchester in the mid 1970?s. Alex died February 9, 1982. Bobbie entered the Good Neighbor Home in October of 2001.
Bobbie collected salt and pepper shakers and was a fan of Mickey Mouse.
Bobbie is survived by eight grandchildren, Michael (Del Rose) Hentges, Kenneth (LuAnne) Hentges, Vickie Ziel, Mark (Kay) Hentges, Jeffrey (Linda) Hentges, Richard Hentges, Penney Cooper & Lonnie Hentges; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Wanda Hentges of Masonville.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, James & Margaret Penney; her husband Alex Jackson; her son, Richard J. Hentges in 2000; four sisters, Althea Erwin, Van Milroy, Pauline Wilson, Genivieve Chaplin; and two brothers, James Penney and John Penney.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Delaware County Hospice of Comfort.
