Floyd A. Wildman, 90, a resident of Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Central City, died Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at the care center. Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2004, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City by Rev. Jonna Jensen and Pastor Mary Taylor. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial: Mt. Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Surviving is his sister, Lorraine Walters of Anamosa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mable; two sisters, Clarissa and Violet; a brother, Arvid; and his companion, Margaret Richards.
Floyd was born April 12, 1914, the son of Arthur and Mary Ellen (Hagan) Wildman in Pillager Village, Minnesota. He served with the U.S. Army Military Police during WWII. He was a member of American Legion Wapsi Post No. 421. Prior to his retirement in 1993, Floyd was a small engine mechanic in Olin and a drummer in Joe?s Band until 2002.
