Fern Lucille Dague, 68, of 1311 19th Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, died Friday, November 14, 2003, at home following a sudden illness and went to be with the Lord. Memorial Services: 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2003, at River of Life Ministries, 3801 Blairs Ferry Road NE, by Pastor Steve Irwin and Derek Shields . Family will greet friends from 5-8, Monday, November 17, 2003, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 520 Wilson Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Everett; a daughter, Deidra Lynn (Terry) Shields; a son, Terry Lee (Angela) Dague; her sisters, Berdenia Wilson, Bernice Prokop, JoAnn Danly, Ornetta Shurtz; her grandchildren, Benjamin J. Shields, Andrea J. Shields, Cory M. Dague, Emily A. Dague, Alex T. Dague, Casey A. Dague, Sarah Paulsen and Derek Shields; a great-granddaughter, Paige Shields; two sister-in-laws, Evelyn Miller and Tillie Dague; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Clifford, Ernest and Gerald Hageman and two sisters, Luella O?Connor and Helen Frondle.
Fern was born December 11, 1934, in Central City, Iowa, the daughter of Fred F. and Stella M. Musgrove Hagerman. On July 18, 1953, she married Everett G. Dague in Marion, Iowa. They had the blessing of celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary this past July. Fern was a housewife and loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Western Fraternal Lodge 500 and loved playing cards. She will be deeply missed.
