Faye Hauser, 91, of 1224 13th St. NW, formerly of Alburnett, died Sunday, January 22, 2006, at Meth-Wick Manor. Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Jack Kendall. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery, rural Alburnett.

Surviving are several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Velma Hauser, Gladys Holzworth and Vera Martin.

Faye was born on a farm near Alburnett, the daughter of Frank and Lydia (Quaas) Hauser on August 22, 1914. She graduated from Alburnett High School in the class of 1932. Her early years were spent as a homemaker for the family. In 1945 she moved to Cedar Rapids where she was employed by the Linn County Relief Department and later by the State, retiring in 1979. She was a lifelong resident of Linn County and a member of the Lafayette Salem Methodist Church.

Faye enjoyed crafts, tatting, art and writing.
