Faye Brandon, 77, of 416 6th St. SW, died peacefully, Saturday, March 22, 2003, in her home surrounded by her loving family, following a long illness. Graveside Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2003, at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, by Rev. Blair Frank. Private visitation one hour prior to service. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
Survivors include her children, Clarence (Tim) Brandon, Jr. and wife Theresa of Cedar Rapids, Cathy Groth and husband Paul of Cedar Rapids, Vicki Seevell and husband Gale of Alburnett, Debbie Dittmar and husband Richard of Cedar Rapids, Terry Brandon and Sue Klinghagen of Dysart, and Kristi McDowell and husband Scott of Cedar Rapids; a daughter-in-law, Sue Martinek of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Eugene Weatherly and wife Saundra of Salem, Oregon; a sister-in-law, Berta Brandon of Marion; a step-sister, Mildred Gooding and husband Iver of Marshalltown; 13 grandchildren, including two extra special granddaughters, Renae and Jill; 16 great-grandchildren; and two special nephews and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her parents; and a sister, Gloria Johnson.
Faye was born May 27, 1925, in State Center, Iowa, the daughter of Gene and Ildra Weatherly. She married Clarence Brandon on June 10, 1946, in Marshalltown. Faye was an avid Hawkeye Fan and enjoyed watching Emeril and various cooking shows. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Faye loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
