Everett M. “Ed” Vassar, 74, of Marion, died Sunday, December 7, 2008, following a long illness. Memorial Service: 1:00, Thursday, December 18, 2008. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Rita; his children, Everett Vassar, Jr., Caeli Vassar, Christopher (Maria) Vassar, Kathleen Vassar and Evan Vassar; 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Patricia, Christina, Amanda, and Christopher Jr; and 3 sisters, Barb Richards, Carol Diecieeue, and Pamela Green
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harry Klaiss.
Ed was born February 16, 1934, the son of Everett and Marjorie Vassar, in Abbington, Pennsylvania. He married Rita Mae Darrow in February of 1980 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ed was also a member of the U.S. Navy.
Ed loved his family very much and will be dearly missed.
