Evelyn A. Edaburn, 69, of Walker, died Friday, November 2, 2007, at St. Luke’s Hospital, following a short illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point by Rev. Mike Townsley. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial: Alice Cemetery in Center Point.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda (Tom) Carnicle of Marion, Sharyl (Terry) Voss of Walker, and Sharon (Duane) Weekly of Walker; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Richie) Drake, Cassandra (Malcom) Curd, Dustin Carnicle, James (Allison) Voss, Cody Voss, and Chelsey Voss; and six great-grandchildren, Michael, Brenda, Malcom, and Christina Curd, and Lucas and Sarah Voss.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Evelyn was born May 20, 1938, the daughter of Leonard and Mary (Rabik) Serbousek in rural Walker. She worked at St. Luke’s Hospital for twenty-nine years as a Central Service supervisor. Evelyn was a member of the Walker Historical Society, Walker Betterment Community, and the Walker Women’s Bowling Association.
Evelyn enjoyed bingo and slots and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to travel with her best friend Roberta.
A memorial fund has been established in Evelyn’s memory.
