Evelyn Emma Beadle (Hall)

Evelyn E. Beadle, 86, of the Winslow House Care Center, Marion, Iowa, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Saturday, May 10, 2008, following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Bill Holley and Pastor John Mulholland. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her son, Randy (Joan) Beadle of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Adam, Brian, Kyle and Blake; a sister-in-law, Doris Hall of Center Point; several cousins; and many friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Ronald; daughter, Lori; one brother, William Hall; and one sister, Marion Hall.
Evelyn was born September 1, 1921, in Rock River, Wyoming, the daughter of Clarence and Neva (Walter) Hall. On August 29, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, she married Robert Beadle. He died in July of 1994. Evelyn was employed by McDonald Douglas in St. Louis and was a homemaker.
Evelyn was a member of Noelridge Christian Church, the DAV and the Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed scenic tours, day adventures and was active through Discovery Living and Options of Linn County.
