Evan was born on June 14, 1990, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, the son of Kevin E. Volkers and Sarah L. Melver. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 2008 where he played football and attended Kirkwood College, both in Cedar Rapids. Evan proudly worked the past eight years for D & N Fencing of Cedar Rapids and enjoyed pointing out his completed work.
Evan enjoyed riding his motorcycles and teaching others to stunt. He worked hard towards his goal to be a pro stunt rider. He also enjoyed floating down the river, scaring his friends, getting into scuffles and mischief and traveling with his friends. Evan touched many lives and will be missed by the “families” he made from his friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to D & N Fencing, Sgt. Christy Hamblin and the Hummell, Steggall and Ralfs families.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial fund in memory of Evan.
