Eunice M. Cook, 99, of Northbrook Manor, Cedar Rapids, a long time resident of the Center Point area, died there Friday, August 4, 2006. Services: 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 7, 2006, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Walker, IA, by Rev. David Ambrosy. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, August 6, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Burial: Troy Mills Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Roberta Reid of Cedar Rapids; her sons, William (Virginia) Cook of Stonelake WI, Thomas (Marilyn) Cook of Robins, IA, and David (Linda) Cook of Center Point; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; one sister, Louise Goforth of Bloomington, IL; one sister-in-law, Mary Alice Thomas of Tell City, IN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Cook; a grandson, Michael Reid; two great granddaughters, Samantha and Nicole Bunge; a son-in-law, Richard Reid; and six brothers.
Eunice was born June 17, 1907, in Perry County, IN, the daughter of Benjamin and Sarah (Kellems) Thomas. On May 10, 1933, she married Robert F. Cook in Coggon, IA. Robert died April 23, 1990. Eunice was a homemaker, a member of Sacred Heart Church and Green?s Grove Sewing Circle.
